For years I've wanted to try my hand at creating some sculptural work. From time to time I experimented, but couldn't seem to find the material that felt "right". I still haven't; but I have managed
to get the end results that I want using everything in the proverbial kitchen sink including, but not limited to, wood, polymer clay, air-hardening clay, papier maché, wire, aluminum foil, foam, glass, and gold leaf.
Granted, it's still in it's infancy, but these few samples represent the direction I'm going with this new work. So far my success-to-failure ratio is about 1:1, but it's getting better. Each new
piece (including the ones I haven't posted yet) is better than the one that preceded it, and I'm pleased as can be by that turn of events.
