"Sting of the Beasts"                                  2009

My first sculptural fish, a lionfish modeled after my painting "Better to Live a Day as a Lion" She's about 5.5" long and made out of polymer clay, papier maché, epoxy resin, wood, steel wire and glass. It's hard to pick up in the photo, but the eyes are reverse-painted with an amber/brown color with flecks of gold leaf.
