All about Jett

Born in 1965, Jett Vincent Bailey originally hails from Fort Worth, Texas.  After the compulsory public school education, he went on to study at the University of Colorado at Boulder. For a number of years his work was exhibited prominantly in galleries and public spaces throughout Texas, Colorado, New Mexico and California. Bailey placed well in numerous juried shows and competitions, and his work developed a small but dedicated following.

Desiring a change of pace from the hyper-competitive realm of Fine Art, in the mid 1990s he switched creative gears and began to pursue a career in Graphic Design and Commercial Illustration. Bailey has worked in graphics, primarily for print, for the past 16-odd years, and has amassed a substantial client list both as an Art Director/Graphic Designer and Illustrator for several high profile printing firms, ad agencies, publishing houses and service bureaus as well as freelance work for individual clients. His design and illustration work runs the gamut; from logo design to children's book illustration.

In 2003, unable to resist the siren's call of canvas, paint and brush, Bailey tentatively began painting once again...and he hasn't stopped since. His artwork focuses on bright, bold, surrealist images of the amazing creatures that swim in the salty Atlantic just a few miles from his house in Jacksonville, Florida. He shares his home and life with his wife Beth and their 6-year-old son Dashiell. Jett exhibits his work along the Southeast coast from North Carolina to the Florida Keys.
